Zaświatycze
Zaświatycze – Paula Kinaszewska and Anna Jurkiewicz. The duo performs the music of Southern Podlasie in its local languages.
The project’s hometown is Kolano, Paula’s home village. From there, paths branch out, leading them to new places – sometimes through encounters with local singers, sometimes through archival recordings. The artists learn not only songs but also a wide variety of local storytelling and embellishment techniques.
Zaświatycze collaborates with singer and set designer Adrianna Iwanejko and composer Bartłomiej Woźniak, with whom they co-create a performance combining traditional music with electronics and shadow theatre.
