Bogumiła and Piotr Zgorzelski
A couple who for many years have been promoting and teaching Polish traditional dance in an off-stage non-styled form. They have made dance lessons videos on YouTube – Taniec Tradycyjny PL and www.taniec.edu.pl webpage co-created with Dance and Music Institute. They learnt directly from village dancers and from archive records and came up with their own workshop method allowing for contemporary dance skills and sensitivites of a generation deprived of contract with living folk music. They run the Traditional Dance Travelling Academy, in which they hold workshops and dances across Poland and in other countries.
