Karolina Jadwiga Demianiuk
Born in 1939 in the village of Dołhobrody (Lublin Voivodeship, Włodawa County), where she lives to this day. A multi-talented folk artist: singer, actress, poet. She also works in handicrafts: embroidery, lace, and weaving.
Gifted with an excellent musical ear and a beautiful voice, she embraced group singing from a young age, learning songs from family, neighbors, and older friends. She observed how singing and the cultivation of ancient customs and rituals accompanied her loved ones every day. In 2013, she published her first volume of poetry. She teaches singing and, in collaboration with the community center GOKIS in Hanna, shares the traditions of the unique village of Dołhobrody with kids. She performs at local and national folk festivals, winning awards and special mentions.
