We invite you to a meeting with masters of the traditional Swedish instrument, the nyckelharpa. We will learn traditional Swedish melodies from both eastern and western Sweden, in various styles and rhythms, selected from a very rich repertoire. They both play old nyckelharpas, so the music will have a drone sound. We may also learn melodies typical of this unique instrument.

Markus Svensson and David Eriksson are among Sweden’s most respected folk musicians. Their collaborative artistic journey spans over two decades. Together, they explore the richness of Swedish traditional music, blending regional styles from different parts of the country in their performances. Their music is faithful to historical traditions, but also filled with contemporary vitality.
