VIOLIN Around Tadeusz Jedynak
Led by Paula Kinaszewska
For beginners
Tadeusz Jedynak (1924-2020) was a violinist from Przystałowice Małe near Radom (the Kajok region), a student of the legendary Jan Bogusz. He failed to adapt to playing with a squeezebox, which reduced his popularity in the countryside, but contributed to the preservation of old-school performance manners, richer variations, and improvisation skills. Paula Kinaszewska was his student from 2014 to 2020.
During this workshop, we will attempt to break down Tadeusz’s obers into simple rhythmic patterns to understand the ways in which this old-school, unique violinist played them.
