FRAME DRUM The Basics

For beginners – you need to bring your own instrument

During the workshop, favorite tunes from the Niwiński band will be played. With her heart and experience, Agnieszka will guide each participant through the basics of playing the frame drum and baraban, accompanied by Mateusz on the violin, playing virtuoso obers from Sanniki from Józef Ciastek and wild polkas from Piotr Gaca. To participate in the workshop, you need to bring your own instrument.

Agnieszka Niwińska – cultural animator, educator, and musician, she plays the frame drum and the baraban, performing traditional Polish music. She developed her style by playing with village musicians, including violinists Piotr Gaca, Jan Kmita, and Stefan Nowaczek, and squeezebox player Tadeusz Lipiec. Together with her husband, she creates the Kapela Niwińskich band, as well as the musical projects Orkiestra Galicja and Poleski Skład Smyczkowy. She has also carried out her own educational programs in music and crafts.
