VIOLIN Melodies From Western Roztocze
Led by Katarzyna Zedel
For intermediate players, you will need your own instrument and the ability to repeat sounds by ear
We invite you to learn violin melodies from Western Roztocze in the Lublin region. This is a unique, fascinating area where the same melodies are played by both violinists and brass bands. We will learn podróżniaks, polkas, and waltzes, which Katarzyna heard and learned directly from Leon Krzos, Stanisław Głaz, and Tadeusz Dudka. If time allows, we will also learn melodies from the archival recordings of Władysław Kucharski and Marcin Gilas.
