The Radom region is renowned for its wild, long-form obereks, often danced in pairs for ten minutes or more. While the region shares a recognisable core style, master dancers cultivate distinctive personal manners – and these subtle, dynamic nuances will be our focus.
We’ll learn the oberek as performed by the Zaraś family, a celebrated clan of musicians and dancers from Nieznamierowice.
Rarely seen today at village or city dance parties, this style is both captivating and full of energy.
